PSC seeks 8000 interns
The Public Service Commission is recruiting 8000 interns to work in ministries, departments and agencies for the financial year 2023/2024 as the government moves to tackle joblessness among the youth in Kenya.
The program runs for a fixed period of one year on a non-renewable basis and locks out youth who graduated before 2017. PSC says it aims at equipping the young graduates with hands-on work experience. The internship also offers benefits such as networking and employment chances across the potential employers in the country.
The successful applicants for the positions will receive a stipend during the course of their internship and upon completion will receive a certificate of completion.
Earlier this year, President William Ruto said: “Beginning next year, we are going to recruit 20,000 young people to serve in various sectors of our economy.”
