Pesapal integrates Pesalink into OpenFloat
Virtual payments platform Pesapal has integrated the bank-to-bank transfers system PesaLink, into OpenFloat, a low-cost system that digitizes petty cash, payroll, and corporate bill payments. With the new platform, customers can now easily disburse funds, pay bills, buy airtime in bulk, and book flights and hotels all in one place.
Pesapal leveraged PesaLink’s infrastructure, which is integrated with multiple banks into OpenFloat serves merchants offering them a seamless payments ecosystem. Merchants, who use OpenFloat can view transaction reports and track their cash flow in real time.
Pesapal says it processes over 12 million transactions every month and is on a goal to connect at least a million African entrepreneurs to e-commerce, digital payments, and the global financial system by 2030. “As the digitization of payments gains momentum, the integration of PesaLink into OpenFloat enables us to enhance the payment experience and democratize merchant payment options. Merchants now have broader payment options,” Mr Liko said.
