Jeff Koinage among personalities named to headline East Africa’s biggest show
Platinum sponsors Coca Cola and Safaricom, have today unveiled a diverse lineup of judges who are set to headline the biggest talent show in the East African Region.
East Africa’s Got Talent, a sub show of the ‘Got Talent’ franchise owned by British television producer, Simon Cowell, will be covering talents across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

The show will begin on August 4th, 2019, and will run for ten episodes which will be aired exclusively on Citizen TV. Additionally, semifinals and the grand finale will be shot live on location in Kenya.
Tanzania Music Star Vanessa Mdee, Uganda’s Gaetano Kagwa and Rwanda’s super DJ Contact Makeba while media showman Jeff Koinange will represent Kenya in the diverse group of judges who will officially headline the show. Ugandan comedian Ann Kansiime will be the show’s host.
“When we got this opportunity to partner with East Africa’s Got Talent, we immediately jumped on it, ” said Sitoyo Lopokoyit, Chief financial services officer at Safaricom.
He said there was no one who loved and supported arts and culture like the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.
“We are particularly aware of the need to develop our artists and to make sure that they earn from their craft, and that is why we will continue supporting platforms like East Africa’s Got talent and Songa,” he added. Sitoyo was speaking at Coca Cola’s HQ in Upperhill Nairobi, where the unveiling session was held.
