Jaguar's political revival amid presidential nominations
Former Starehe MP Charles Njagua, popularly known as Jaguar has been nominated to serve as a member of the Commission of Administrative Justice (CAJ) by President William Ruto in what appears to be a lifeline for the former lawmaker to make a political comeback.
In a gazette notice, Jaguar was nominated alongside Isaac Hassan, who has been picked to head the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA). Mr Hassan is a former chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
In an update announcing the nomination of several individuals to various government roles, Jaguar was nominated to serve at the CAJ alongside Dorothy Jemator Kimengech, a lawyer with over 13 years of legal practice.
Jaguar is a musician who made his political debut in 2017 when he was elected as Starehe MP under Jubilee party ticket. He, however, became a one-term MP after failing to retain his seat in the August 2022 elections.
He holds Bachelor's Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from Mt Kenya University while Kimengech has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Moi University and a diploma in Advocates Training Programme (ATP) from the Kenya School of Law.

"The nominee is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 30 years' experience as a legal practitioner and consultant in various countries including Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Namibia, and Afghanistan," President Ruto noted.
