Dagoretti Girls, Dandora Young Kings shine in Chapa Dimba

The Safaricom Chapa Dimba Nairobi regionals fourth edition finals culminated in a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship at Dandora Stadium last Sunday. The event witnessed Dagoretti Mixed Girls and Dandora Young Kings emerge as the champions of Nairobi.

In an intense showdown, Dagoretti Mixed Girls dominated the field, securing a resounding 6-0 victory against the Misericordiae Queens from Makadara. Cisse Nambunye set the tone early with a goal in the first minute, followed by a flurry of strikes from Faith Awuor, Patience Kasichana, Ruth Safari, and Volentar Akinyi, who netted twice, sealing the win for Dagoretti.

The boys’ category saw Dandora Young Kings overpower the Dagoretti Lions with a convincing 6-1 scoreline. Despite an early goal from Dhuor Kang for the Lions, defensive lapses cost them dearly. Edwin Toto’s penalty conversion and Joseph Wekesa’s free-kick put Young Kings in the lead, with Washington Muga adding two more goals in each half to seal the victory.
