KCB secures vital win against Posta Rangers
Henry Onyango’s second-half strike was enough for KCB FC to seal a 1-0 win against Posta Rangers in an FKF-premier league clash this afternoon. With the win, the Bankers retained their 4th place in the log standings accumulating 53 points after 29 matches played so far.
Speaking after his win, KCB FC Head Coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno said, “I am very happy with today’s match result. We had to make a lot of changes in the second half considering we had a poor first half. I am glad the goal came through, as it has given us the much-needed boost given a streak of losses in the last three matches.”
Posta Rangers were the better side in the first half but their lack of confidence and poor finishing in the final third came to haunt them after Onyango’s solitary strike in the second half of the match.

Zico gave his team a pep-talk at the interval which made the difference as KCB improved their passing accuracy and threat in front of the goal as the match progressed.
KCB FC is still missing the services of captain Michael Mutinda who is set to undergo knee surgery next week following his injury against Tusker at the Ruaraka Grounds in a previous FKF-premier league clash.
Forward Nicholas Kipkurui who came off the bench against Bandari in the mid-week encounter did not feature for his side today after he also picked up an injury.
The bankers will resume action this coming weekend against Mathare FC.
