Shopzetu Mini App lists on M-PESA Super App

Safaricom and Shopzetu have partnered to launch Shopzetu Mini App on the M-PESA Super App, a move that will enable over seven million customers to shop and pay for women’s and men’s fashion from more than 200 vendors.

Shopzetu will then deliver items to customers across Kenya within three days after making an order. Customers will receive an SMS with a link through which they can track their orders once in transit.

M-PESA customers can access the Shopzetu Mini App under the “Services” option on the M-PESA Super App which now has more than 40 mini-apps.

“As part of our purpose to transform lives, we are looking to empower millions of entrepreneurs across the country to grow their businesses and to run them more efficiently,” said Peter Ndegwa, CEO, Safaricom.

Through the partnership, Shopzetu will be enabling its vendors to grow their market share by tapping into the M-PESA’s Super App reach.

Under the M-PESA Mini Apps, Safaricom is seeking to support businesses, especially SMEs to have their own Android and iPhone Apps without the need to invest in most of the core infrastructure and distribution. The businesses will also benefit from Safaricom’s marketing, distribution, and reach.
