NBK appoints George Odhiambo as Managing Director

KCB Group subsidiary National Bank of Kenya (NBK) has appointed George Odhiambo as the Managing Director taking over from Peter Kioko who has been in an acting capacity since June last year. Mr Odhiambo is a seasoned banker and is the outgoing managing director of KCB Group Rwanda subsidiary, BPR Bank Rwanda Plc.

“George has been instrumental in strengthening and growing the Rwanda business. His broad management experience will be invaluable to the NBK leadership to execute the business strategy of innovation and growth,” said KCB Group CEO Paul Russo.

NBK posted Kes886 million net profit in its third-quarter results ending September 30, 2022, with net interest income growing by 14 per cent from the previous year to Kes6.9 billion.
