Austrian MPs seek closer diplomatic military ties to Kenya
Austrian Parliamentarian Axel Kassegger has led a delegation to Kenya’s Parliament to discuss military cooperation, parliamentary diplomacy, climate change education and industrialization.
Mr Kassegger a Member of the Austrian National Council, and Austrian Ambassador to Kenya Dr Christian Fellner met the Members of the Defence, Intelligence, and Foreign Relations Committee of the Kenyan National Assembly.
The committee said they discussed climate change and the idea of political party academies and are seeking to initiate a Kenya-Austria parliamentary friendship.
The Austrian embassy also sought consultations in the education stakeholders with a view of sharing information on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes to open up opportunities for Kenyans in the EU.
