A year later than planned, here’s where to catch the epic moments of Euro, Olympics

The 2020 Olympics was billed to be a show of national celebration for Japan as the Island country in East Asia prepared to host athletes and fans from around the globe.

But even a year after postponement of the 16-day sports contest, foreign fans remain barred from attending the games due to the raging Coronavirus pandemic.

As a signal to the danger posed by Covid-19, Tokyo Olympic organizing committee president Seiko Hashimoto was quoted recently by the Associated Press saying even local fans in Japan may be restricted from attending the games that are set to start on July 23.

Further, a poll quoted by Associated Press indicated that about 60 t0 80 per cent of Japanese respondents want the games called off to limit the chances of new wave of Covid-19 infections.

At the moment, the International Olympic Committee projects that at least 80 per cent of athletes and resident of Olympic Village will be fully vaccinated when the Tokyo Olympics show starts.

GOtv customers will have four Olympics channels – two on GOtv Max, one on GOtv Plus and one on the GOtv Value package.

“We are delighted to have Women’s Tennis Association events back on the schedule. Dates will be announced as the event draws closer,” said Nancy Matimu Managing Director Multichoice Kenya.

“Furthermore, WWE continues to reinvent itself with new shows and new superstars, while UFC continues to build great momentum with inside-the-bubble events in Las Vegas and on Fight Island in the Middle East,” she added.
