Lynda Nyangweso bids Kiss FM goodbye after 11 years

Bubbly Kiss 100 morning show host Lynda Nyangweso has quit Radio Africa Group after 11 years at the media house.

Miss Nyangweso, who joined the station in 2010, used to host “Kiss Drive”, announced via the social media that this will be her last week at the station.

“Eleven years ago, I started out on @kiss100kenya on the graveyard shift where I had room to mess up, try again, rinse then repeat. Then I moved to midmorning and I was so proud of the work I did. From there I moved on to the breakfast show, which was an amazing learning curve.

“Then I started drive, which became where I was most confident probably because I got the most sleep lol. Throughout this journey I have met some incredibly talented people both behind the mic and behind the scenes. I have worked with or around people I am forever in awe of.”

She is grateful for the support she got while scaling up the career ladder to the peak.

“However, I have loved the job. This chapter in my life has brought people in my life that have become like a second family,” she added.

The presenter is celebrated for her beautiful voice with a perfect English accent.

The mother of one, is notable in her career for her unwavering stance against online bullying.

She opened up about it in 2019 after posting a family photo while on vacation. In the picture, which she shared on social media, Lynda wore a bikini posing with her husband and baby and the trolling forced her to go offline for the reminder of her vacation.

Further, Lynda also finds pleasure in doing voice-overs and emceeing at events.

The presenter is, however, yet to disclose her next step after Kiss 100 but grateful for the opportunity to her fans.

“Can’t wait to see you on the other side. Thank you for the opportunity to entertain you,” she said.
