Updates from Solai Dam Incident
Following the last night incident, Multi-Agency Search & Recovery Operation has been established. It comprises of the Following stakeholders: National and County Government of Nakuru, National Police Service, Kenya Defence Forces, National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU), National Youth Service, Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Red Cross, World Vision, Local leaders, Politicians, Administrators, Religious Leaders and Members of the public. As per information released by The Governor of Nakuru County and The Regional Commissioner Rift at 19:00 hours is as follows: The government has provided all the needed resources for conducting the operation. The number of dead bodies 44, Admitted 41, missing 40 as per 19:00 hours. We have adjourned Search and recovery operation until tomorrow morning. Next update will tomorrow at 12:00 hours.
