Jubilee shareholders get Sh870 million in dividends

Regional insurer Jubilee Holdings (JHL) has firmed up its final Kes9 dividend with a Kes3 special dividend, marking the completion of the sale of its general insurance unit to Allianz. In total, the company will pay a total of Kes870 million to its shareholders.

The combined dividend, which is subject to shareholder approval will be paid on or before July 26. The maintenance of the final dividend is despite a martial 2.9 percent drop in net profit for the financial year to December which stood at Kes6.6 billion from Kes6.8 billion realised in 2021.

In the period, JHL gross written premiums fell to Kes26 billion from Kes30.6 billion reflecting the disposal of its general insurance units.
