AU risk agency appoints Kenyan Deepak Dave to board

Kenya’s Deepak Dave has been appointed to the board of African Union risk agency, the African Risk Capacity (ARC) for three years beginning this July.

Mr Deepak has been appointed along Maxwell Mkwezalamba, replacing Mrs. Jennifer Blanke and M. Phillip Pettersen whose mandates terminated on April.

ARC Group is a Specialized Agency of the African Union established to help African governments improve their capacities to better plan, prepare, and respond to extreme weather events and natural disasters.

Mr Deepak has extensive experience in Banking, Capital Markets and Private Finance built over more than 24 years in Canada, United States, European Union, Africa, the Middle-East, India and South East Asia.

He has led strategic changes, revenue origination in several entities and has further experience in Acquisition, Expansion, Recapitalization and Turnarounds using Asset-Based Lending (ABL),Senior and Subordinated debt, Project Finance, Structured Trade & Commodity Finance, Private Capital, Derivatives, Credit and Political Risk Insurance and Reinsurance.
