For laughs: Safaricom’s BAZE debuts exclusive local content

Safaricom customers are set to enjoy exclusive skits and comedies from comedians Njugush, King Kaka and Desagu among others for a low price of Kes10 per day.

This after Safaricom announced the release of new and exclusive local content on the BAZE video platform ahead of the festive season.

Customers will have access to unlimited and affordable video entertainment from renowned content creators Awinja, Terrence Creative, Crazy Kennar, and Flaqo.

In the deal three shows are debuting: Cheki Ngoma by King Kaka, which takes us through the journey behind making music, featuring top Kaka Empire artists; Njugush’s Plug Flani, a show about a hustler who comes to the city to make money, his intentions are good, but he chews more than he can swallow; and The Half-Cooked Report, a three-part comedy sketch which has humour, satire and drama presented in a news-like format by Henry Desagu.

BAZE offers a variety of edutainment, agriculture, faith-based, drama, comedy, lifestyle, and culture content and so much more, making Safaricom BAZE the video partner of choice and a one-stop shop for local entertainment.

“Through BAZE, our goal is to delight Kenyans by availing a carefully curated collection of video content across their favourite genres, while providing content creators, an additional platform for sharing their stories with Kenyans while increasing their earnings by monetizing their content,” said Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom PLC.

Over the course of the festive season, more exclusive content from local acts such as Flaqo, Awinja, Crazy Kennar and Terrence Creative, will be added on the BAZE platform. To access the content, customers can simply dial *544*55# on their mobile device or visit Baze.co.ke.
