Already, the retailer has hired 250 full-time employees for the new store and another 200 part-timers. The new store will be its eighth one within the Kenyan market.

Launched in 1955 by the Majid Al Futtaim Group, Carrefour is among the largest hypermarkets chains in the world with over 300 stores in over 30 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Since 2016 when it opened its first store in Kenya at The Hub Karen, Carrefour has been on an extremely upward trajectory thanks to its competitive pricing, unique customer-centric services and very liquid godfathers – underpinning its expansion plans.
