Jambojet unveils all-new Bombardier jet, gets nod to begin Rwanda flights
Rwanda’s Civil Aviation Authority has granted Jambojet a go-ahead to begin flights to Kigali.
Jambojet’s boss Mr. Allan Kilavuka said that the new route was part of the airline’s broader plan to expand its footprint to more markets in Africa, including Juba South Sudan and various cities in Tanzania.

Additionally, the low-cost airline unveiled its all-new eighty-two seater Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 Jet nicknamed ‘Kongoti’ after the Marabou Stork, an exotic African bird species.
When he rose up to speak, Mr. Kilavuka further retaliated the airline’s commitment to global safety standards saying that his company was proud of the recognition they have received so far, including the IATA Operational Safety Audit certification (IOSA).
In addition to having the youngest fleet in Africa with an average of 3.7 years, the low-cost airline has been credited with democratizing air travel for ordinary citizens in the region.
“We are creating demand, so far we have flown three million passengers since 2014 – with thirty percent of them being first-time travelers. What sets us apart is our innovation and our convenience” said Mr. Kilavuka.
The new announcements today come at a time when local tourism is experiencing a surge. Currently, the airline flies to five local destinations namely Malindi, Ukunda, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret and one regional destination -Entebbe, Uganda -from its hub in Nairobi.
