FAKE: The digital card with a quote on Nairobi Expressway is not from Kenyans.co.ke

Both KeNHA and Kenyans.co.ke have flagged the publication as fake

This digital card shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Dr. Miguna Miguna with a quote claiming that Mountain Hill Global, a company owned by Muhoho Kenyatta, brother to former president Uhuru Kenyatta, earns revenue from the Nairobi Expressway is FAKE.

The caption reads: “Only a searing revolution will remove these leeches and plunderers like @WilliamsRuto, transform Kenya, end exploitation, eliminate repression and bring social justice and equity for all Kenyans. Real Change will never come about through incremental reforms and other useless patchwork. #RutoMustGo #RutoNaRailaMustGo #OccupyParliament #OccupyStateHouse.”

The Nairobi Expressway is a 27-kilometre toll road in Kenya stretching from Mlolongo to James Gichuru Road junction, in Westlands area, Nairobi. This road is managed and operated by Moja Expressway under a public-private partnership agreement.

Upon investigation, Maudhui House established that the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), which is the entity responsible for the development, rehabilitation, management and maintenance of all major roads in the country has flagged the post on their official X and Facebook accounts, terming it FAKE.

Additionally, in an update on their official X account, digital news platform Kenyans.co.ke has equally distanced itself from the  card, saying that it did not originate from them. They also advised the public to always verify information through their official website.

Maudhui House examined a purported digital card on X from Kenyans.co.ke stating that Mountain Hill Global company earns revenue from the Nairobi Expressway and found it to be FAKE.
