Ndoto Zetu is a unique corporate giving programme under Safaricom Foundation that encourages Kenyans to partner with it by proposing projects at the grassroots for consideration and financing thereby bringing their community dreams and aspirations to life.

In the previous three editions leading up to the fourth leg of the programme, Ndoto Zetu has funded over 1,000 projects in thematic areas of health, education, environmental conservation, economic empowerment, water, disaster relief, and arts and culture across the country, impacting over three million Kenyans.

Joytown Secondary Principal Dr Evelyn Andolo lauded Safaricom’s untiring commitment to facilitating and actualizing students’ dreams in the school.

“Every part of our compound has a mark of Safaricom, so it’s hard to forget you,” she said, alluding to previous contributions by the tech giant to her school.

The telco has previously made donations to the school to promote students’ well-being, such as a school bus, physiotherapy equipment, a bakery, and a poultry project.

Dr Andolo termed the donation as a “continuation of the actualization of our dreams.”

Joytown students were delighted to receive personal utilities from Ndoto Zetu. Each was gifted a backpack and a geometrical set, while all 153 female students got sanitary towels.
