Nameless and DJ Kytrixx among performers at a colorful KBL launch party in Thika

Haile Selassie road in Thika town Kiambu County passes through the sidewalks of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) offices opposite temple road and ends near Klub Image, one of Thika’s largest and most popular nightlife joints.

Like any other nightclub on a Friday evening, whereby you would expect the whole establishment to be a beehive of activities, Klub Image was no different, except that it was just a lot more colorful and overly hyped.

If it wasn’t Dj kaytrixx ‘sneezing on the beat’ or the Sarakasi dancers and acrobats performing their out of this world stunts, it was Nameless entertaining his youthful fans who by this time were snaking themselves down to the floor in dance fashion.

But even as his fans lived up to the fun and merry and energy in the club that night, they had a real reason to celebrate, as the country’s largest spirits maker KBL had just launched a new pineapple variant dubbed ‘Pineapple fusion’ for the popular Kenya Cane (KC) spirit brand.

Mr. Victor Kagema, KBL’s senior innovations manager, who was also present that night, said that the launch of the new pineapple variant was driven by the company’s need to create flavors that their consumers can identify with.

The new KC variant joins an established list of other successful variants by KBL which include KC smooth, KC coconut and KC citrus. The 250 ml will retail at Ksh 250 while the 750 ml will go for Ksh 650.

The new brand is also running a National Consumer promotion dubbed “Shangilia Hustle ya Kenya’ where it pledged to reward KC customers with Ksh 100,000 capital injection into their businesses.
