Jubilee Holdings has officially opened its new regional headquarters in Upper Hill, Nairobi, marking a major moment in the company’s 87-year journey. The event was presided over by Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

The facility includes spaces designed for innovation, staff wellness, and sustainability including a dedicated digital hub, open working spaces, and environmentally efficient systems.

Recently, the modern complex also achieved the Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) standard, which recognizes buildings that are designed to use energy, water, and materials more sustainably and efficiently, making them better in regard to the environment and more cost-effective to operate, run and maintain.

The new modern complex represents Jubilee Holdings’ continued investment in Kenya and the wider East African region, and its commitment to building a future-focused institution that remains anchored in strong values and community impact.

The event also served as a tribute to Mr. Nizar Juma, who recently retired as Chairman after 20 years of service. Under his leadership, Jubilee Holdings expanded its footprint across East Africa, delivered consistent shareholder returns, and led strategic shifts including the separation of its health, life, and general insurance businesses to enhance efficiency and impact.

Speaking at the event, Chairman Mr. Zul Abdul acknowledged Mr. Juma’s legacy: “He steered Jubilee through decades of growth with integrity, discipline, and purpose. His leadership helped shape Jubilee into one of the region’s most trusted insurance group.”

In his remarks, Mr. Juma encouraged the next generation of leaders to continue building institutions that serve with care and stand the test of time. 

Jubilee Holdings now looks ahead to expanding access to insurance across the region, improving customer experience, and supporting national goals around healthcare, financial inclusion, and sustainability.
