Regional financial services giant Jubilee Holdings is set to pay record KES13.5 per ordinary share totaling to KES 978 million in dividends attributable to a strong performance that saw the company post historic KES6.2 billion in gross earnings for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024.

The company said gross written premiums increased by 34 percent to KES53 billion, up from KES 39.6 billion in the previous trading year powering its gross profit past the KES6 billion mark.

Group CEO Dr. Julius Kipng'etich credited the organinazation's strong performance to sustained growth, strategic resilience, and market leadership in the insurance sector during the year under focus.

“We recognize that our business goes far beyond insurance - we are catalysts for progress, driving meaningful change across society. Through strategic initiatives, we are improving lives and safeguarding the planet, ensuring a sustainable and inclusive future for generations to come," explained Dr. Kipng'etich.

During the period, total assets grew by 12 percent to KES213.6 billion from KES190.5 billion reinforcing the Group’s financial strength and strategic growth trajectory.

The Health business solidified market leadership, reinforcing its position as East Africa’s leading insurer (being #1 in Kenya, #1 in Uganda and #2 in Tanzania). As part of its commitment to driving universal health coverage, the company introduced affordable insurance plans, along with an innovative payment option, Lipa Pole Pole, enabling individuals to pay premiums in flexible instalments and enhancing access to quality healthcare.

The Life business regained the No. 2 position across the region, driven by a 56 percent growth in Kenya and 58 percent expansion in Tanzania.

The asset management business, that was recently launched in Kenya, has already accumulated KES12 billion of Assets Under Management and over 6,000 customers attributed to unique offerings, competitive returns and customer experience.

During the year, JHL harnessed technology to drive efficiency, cost control, and superior customer experiences. The continued optimization of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform improved service delivery and turnaround times, while AI-driven automation streamlined operations, enabling teams to focus on high-value customer engagement and strategic growth.

Data analytics powered informed decision-making, and digital innovations, including advanced apps and portals simplifying customer interactions. 

At the same time, Jubilee’s Wellness App Maisha Fiti recorded over 12,000 downloads, reflecting strong adoption. Additionally, the launch of J-Force has further enhanced customer reach and service delivery. These advancements are focused on the delivery of exceptional customer service across all product lines and have led to the company receiving over 15 industry awards.
