BCG appoints Nicholas Clarke as MD and Partner in Kenya

Business advisory multinational Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has appointed Nicholas Clarke as Managing Director and Partner in its Nairobi, Kenya office, effective 1 July 2025. 

The company said Clarke's appointment reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening the local office and supporting the ambitions of clients across East Africa.

In this assignment, Nicholas’ will be charged with driving economic development, including investment acceleration, trade promotion, and industrial growth. 

Clarke will be working with BCG's clients including donors, foundations, and multilateral institutions, supporting large-scale transformation programmes across the continent.

Before relocating to Nairobi, Nicholas was based in BCG’s New York office between 2017 and 2020. 

Previously, he held roles in international development, including with the International Finance Corporation’s Africa strategy team, and served for three years as a policy adviser to Rwanda’s Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Nicholas is a graduate of Harvard Business School where he pursued MBA, an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Economics from the University of York (UK).

The firm also announced a senior appointment in South Africa recently where Keshlan Mudaly was appointed as Managing Director and Partner in the Johannesburg office, also effective 1 July 2025.

These appointments underscore BCG’s focus on empowering local leadership and delivering innovative solutions for Africa’s evolving needs.
