Safaricom woos students, digital creators with B-Live data offering

Thousands of students undertaking online classes as well as creators streaming content can now enjoy better Internet speeds under Safaricom's new offering B-Live.
According to Safaricom, B-Live is an innovative time-based data bundle product that is tailor-made to meet the needs of different lifestyles of customers.
Under B-Live, students catching up on online classes, creators streaming and uploading content, and professionals working on the go can access a non-stop browsing of 1 hour at KES20, 3 hours at KES50 and 6 hours at KES150.
B-Live, which is accessible via *544# or *555#, adds to the existing Safaricom’s traditional MB/GB bundle options giving more choices to customers.
“We recognise that our customers are different. Some prefer managing their usage in MBs or GBs, while others simply want to enjoy the internet for a set period of time. By adding this option, we’re putting control back in the hands of our customers and enabling them to focus on what matters most — whether that’s learning, creating, connecting, or hustling”, said Fawzia Ali-Kimanthi, Chief Consumer Business Officer, Safaricom PLC.
B-LIVE is part of a suite of offerings that seeks to enhance Safaricom’s commitment to being an enabler of Kenya’s digital lifestyle.
By expanding bundle options, Safaricom said it aims at ensuring that every customer; youth, creators, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and professionals has the power to choose what works for them.
