MultiChoice opens chance for filmmakers to hone skills

The MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF), an initiative that develops emerging TV and film talent in Africa, has opened a fresh chance for budding filmmakers to firm up their skills and build successful careers through training starting next year.

“Through a series of rigorous training programs, participants not only get a chance to sharpen their craft but also gain invaluable insights into the business of filmmaking through a hands-on approach and mentorship from industry experts. Imagine being chosen as one of the participants to learn from some of the industry's best minds and gaining practical experience in areas such as cinematography, sound design, editing, and more,” said MTF Eastern Africa Academy Director Victoria Goro, in a statement.

The students will get accreditation and recognized qualifications that will also earn them a chance to produce and direct short films showcased on MultiChoice platforms, upon completion of the course.

Furthermore, top performing students will get opportunities for further training, mentorship and internship with MTF global partners, such as the New York Film Academy (NYFA), Indian-based platform Zee World, complete with a chance to work on their productions in South Africa.
