Kenya and India have signed five Memoranda of Understanding aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. These MOUs cover various sectors, including ICT, Energy, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), and ongoing health assistance. Additionally, President Ruto welcomed India's decision to open its market to avocados from Kenya.

During his two-day visit to India, President Ruto emphasized that Kenya and India would expand their partnership in technology and other sectors. This collaboration is expected to benefit Kenya significantly, leveraging India's capacity and experience as a global leader in technology.

He also stated that the two countries would work together to bring about changes in the world financial system, ensuring that the Global South can access the resources it needs for development and improve the livelihoods of its people at an equitable cost.

Furthermore, as maritime neighbors, Kenya and India have agreed on a Joint Vision Statement on Maritime Cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region, nicknamed BAHARI, to facilitate collaborations in the maritime sector. Both countries have also committed to increasing cooperation in security to combat terrorism and address other common security threats.

The president's two-day visit to New Delhi is seen as a significant achievement for Kenya, showcasing the continued support from India.
