A year later than planned, here's where to catch the epic moments of Euro, Olympics
The 2020 Olympics was billed to be a show of national celebration for Japan as the Island country in East Asia prepared to host athletes and fans from around the globe.
But even a year after postponement of the 16-day sports contest, foreign fans remain barred from attending the games due to the raging Coronavirus pandemic.
As a signal to the danger posed by Covid-19, Tokyo Olympic organizing committee president Seiko Hashimoto was quoted recently by the Associated Press saying even local fans in Japan may be restricted from attending the games that are set to start on July 23.
Further, a poll quoted by Associated Press indicated that about 60 t0 80 per cent of Japanese respondents want the games called off to limit the chances of new wave of Covid-19 infections.
At the moment, the International Olympic Committee projects that at least 80 per cent of athletes and resident of Olympic Village will be fully vaccinated when the Tokyo Olympics show starts.

Francis Mutuku, secretary general of Kenya’s National Olympic Committee, said the country will hold a pre-Olympics training camp in Japan's Kurume City.
Equally affected by the global pandemic owing to stoppage of sports events was Euro 2020, which is now set to go down a year later than planned.
Football fans across Kenya and the world can sit back and enjoy starting with the opening duel between Turkey and Italy on June 11 in Rome.
Entertainment giant, Multichoice, through DStv and GOtv channels will give fans front row seats to all the 51 matches of the EURO 2020 culminating in the final show at Wembley on July 11.
On the other hand, the Olympics showpiece will be broadcast on eight DStv channels, as well as on the DStv App for viewers on the go, providing fans with the up-to-the-minute opportunity to see award of all 399 gold medals live.
GOtv customers will have four Olympics channels – two on GOtv Max, one on GOtv Plus and one on the GOtv Value package.
