UK dealer takes over Jaguar Landover as RMA calls it quits
On Thursday, Jaguar Landover (JRL) announced that it was appointing Inchcape Group, a UK based dealer as its new distributor for the Kenyan market following the exit of RMA Motors Kenya.
Richard Gouverneur, MD of Jaguar Landrover SA & Sub-Sharan Africa, said that they were looking forward to a great partnership with Inchcape. The UK based luxury brands dealer is set to take over existing showrooms in the country including a planned workshop facility.
“We are delighted to have secured this contract to be the brand custodian for Jaguar and Land Rover in the dynamic and exciting market of Kenya”. Said Ruslan Kinbas, Emerging Markets CEO at Inchcape. The Group employs more than 17,000 and operates in more than 31 counties across 5 different continents.
Many of the trained employees including Inchcape Kenya CEO Sanjiv Shah Formerly RMA Motors CEO, have been retained to ensure that Jaguar Landrover’s customers are not inconvenienced.
Globally, the group has a market cap of more than Ksh 400 Billion and is a custodian for major automotive OEMs including BMW and Subaru.
